Yawning Bread Photo Essay - May 2006
Rally at Woodlands Stadium

The pictures here were taken between 19.50h and 20.20h on Monday, 1 May 2006, at Woodlands Stadium where the Singapore Democratic Party was holding an election rally.

A stage was set up in the middle of the field. People could either stand in the field, or sit on the bleaches.

Resource-wise, the SDP is probably the most constrained. For example, other parties had enough carpeting to cover the front of their stages, but not the SDP.

Actually, when you come to think of it, this may be better from a security point of view. No one can hide a bomb underneath.... though they could have removed the buckets.
