Festive light-ups - Ramadan/Eid

The third of 3 festivals falling in October this year is Eid, which in Singapore tends to be called Hari Raya Puasa. Leading up to it is the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.

The Singapore Tourism Board lit up two historically Malay districts for this festival -- Geylang Serai and the area around Sultan Mosque in Kampong Glam.

There was very little to photograph in Kampong Glam, so most of the following pictures are from Geylang Serai.

The other festivals occurring in October are the Chinese Mid-autumn festival and Deepavali.
