She was leading the way down the cobblestone street towards the Riksdag, or Parliament (picture), where her office was, when she remembered to ask, "Oh, do you have your passport with you?"

"Yes, I do," I said.

"Good, then I can take you in through the front door."

Pause. I wondered about that "front door" bit.

"And if I didn't have it with me?" I was almost afraid to ask.

"Then we'll have to walk around the building to use the side door," she answered as if that's the most obvious of solutions.
